03-18-12 – Chicago, IL>Milwaukee, WI – Two guitarists/ vocalists in mid twenties, a la “lennon and harrison” or “jagger and richards” or a la “cash and perkins”, need a bassist / someone to sing the high parts.
We need more of a soulful, sweet singer a la bruno mars / paul mccartney.
Idealy someone who has a vast knowledge of all music, from oldies like old school r&b (ie; smokey robinson, wilson pickett and stuff like the shirelles) the beatles and motown,
stevie wonder, and even standards ie; fly me to the moon, till there was you, mack the knife, red sails in the sunset, etc… to contemporary things like bruno mars and cee lo green.
We’re looking for the “McCartney” to our Beatles, the garfunkle to our simon, the frusciante to our chili peppers, the adam levine to our travy mccoy etc…
If you’re a multi instrumentalist thats icing on the cake, just be sure you’re a solid bassist, thats most of all what we’re looking for. A singer songwriter / bassist.
Its 50/50 ratio concerning covers to originals, hopefully you’re a song writer as well, you will have a considerable amount of input within our group and consideration from both of us.
We’re currently in a sort of acoustic pub show state, would like to develope the act a bit further adding another vocal/ member and adding a drummer at
some point. (We know a few different drummers, but first we need an act)
Serious gigging and recording is something we’d like to work towards. Currently we play with acouple of different “percussionists” usually just as an acoustic act, two guitars and jembe, just
to keep things “jelled” and in progress, otherwise the current set up isn’t “set in stone” / a serious set up, very impromptu just to play out.

Drums and percussuion, bass, guitars and vocals are already in place….ALL QUALITY PLAYERS with considerable experience!!
We are searching for horns, and/or a good synth keys player who can cover horn parts. We would also consider adding a powerful lead vocalist / frontman (male or female). Genre’s and influences will include Tower of Power, Chicago, The STAX Motown giants, and the best tunes from the powerful 60-70-80′s funk bands.
