12-12-11 – Detroit, MI>Cleveland, OH – Hi! Looking to get 1 or 2 musicians together to form an acoustic cover band. This would be for a potential house gig at a well established bar downtown. Not great money, but great fun and very great place.

Think MTV unplugged. We would be free to play a lot of different songs, and put our own creative touch on them, but the gig would be for covers only. We got to entertain the people!

I am 29, and have experience and talent. I prefer to play guitar and sing lead, but not a control freak, I just know I can handle that position pretty well. So Im open to a little switching sometimes too. Be nice to find other well played musicians who just want to relax and have fun.

Looking for another acoustic player or a bass player primarily. After that somebody who can play light percussion. Like I said, its flexible.

Not looking to have this take over my weeks. Probably one rehearsal a week. Please be comfortable reading chord charts and able to pick things up quickly. Rehearsal space is not a problem.

10-08-11 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – Looking for an incredibly talented wedding video editor. I would cut it myself but I don’t have the time to start-work-finish. It’s probably going to be up to about 3 hrs worth of media to sift through PLUS photos. I will try and pick photos to use if I have time. I want it to be MTV sort of style. The cut should complement the high quality video and images you would be receiving. It was shot on 7D but there will be some other sources from another guest or 2 at the wedding, so you would be mixing formats. You would have to use your own setup. Whichever is most comfortable for you- either Avid or FCP (probably v7). I’d like graphics or titles to be included as well. You can use Motion or After Effects (whichever you are most proficient in).
I must warn you that this will be a bit of a challenge only because I am an editor and understand what can and can’t be done within the time given.
Please submit a reel or a sample or 2 of your best work that displays your style and how it can be applied to a fun event such as this.
After viewing these reels and/or samples, I’ll respond and discuss a rate with you.

You must have multiple credits on recognizable programming and be highly organized, detail oriented, and a killer team player. Proficient and fast on Avid, we require the following: digitizing tapes/DVD’s/Quicktimes, managing assets, outputting for delivery and web postings, upconverting SD to HD, managing and maintaining the Unity, ingesting graphics, creating OMFs and QT’s for audio and online, and basically everything else that is required of a high level assistant editor.
Experience with online and delivery is also a big plus.
