09-30-11 – Milwaukee, WI>Chicago, IL – We are a alternative/heavy rock band from Madison looking for a new front man/woman. We have had some shows in Madison over the past year, but recently we decided we needed a change, and hopefully it was a change for the better. So long story short we need a new singer. 08-15-11 – Seattle, WA>Portland, OR – Hey all, I’ve been playing guitar and singing for about 30 years and make a living as a working musician. I teach guitar and vox, some gigs, and studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I’d like to change that to 2-3 regular gigs a week to hone the band, then eventually become a West coast touring band. I have gigs and connections from here to Cali and back.
I’m looking for quality keys, bass & drums or percussionist. Lead or harmony vocals are a huge plus. I eventually want to do all originals, but realistically if your even going to consider making money, you have to start with covers to build a following. When we have a line out the door at our shows, THEN WE can call the shots and eventually play what we want. I know quite a lot of covers in the styles of Classic Rock, Funky Blues, Old Soul and country,Classic American Roots music…I have about two hours of original material. 08-05-11 – Philadelphia, PA>New York City, NY – We are a 4 piece band (2 guitars, bass and drums) in need of a vocalist. We are all in our mid to late 30s and have been playing together for 6+ years. Our former singer left last year for family reasons so we are currently writing new material with an updated sound. We are starting from scratch and have no interest in rehashing our old songs. This is basically a brand new band with a new style, just with the same members making the music.
We need someone who is willing to work in a collaborative environment, has a laid back personality, and is not looking to make a career of this. We all have day jobs so the band is a way to have some fun and relieve some stress. We are not looking for the next American Idol…we just need someone who can show up once a week (Thursday nights) for practice, have some fun, put lips to mic and make noise.
Our style is kind of a hard rock/punk sound so if that’s something you are into hit us up. Keep in mind since this is a hobby for us we are looking to play a show every couple of months or so. Not looking to play shows every week or even multiple times a month.
No egos, rock stars, crazies, screamers, or anyone who is just looking for a back up band for their own songs! We play what we like so we need someone who wants to create with us and not FOR us. If you are someone who is looking to be on equal terms creatively and take your own unique style/influences and add them into the mix we’d love to hear from you.
