01-25-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – We are seeking the following roles:

Anthony: late teens, early twenties (just look the part). He is the main character (the addict), and is probably the most challenging role in the film.

Father Paul: 40s-70s, a priest at Anthony’s family’s parish, maybe the pastor. He helps a great deal with Anthony’s problem, and delivers a philosophical perspective for the film.

Bill: 40s-50s, Anthony’s father, has had marital problems in the past, likely stemming from his problems with his son. He indicates that he has a temper, but never acts on it in the film. He has, however, likely done so in the past (he has probably hit his wife).

Stacy: Anthony’s mother, emotionally distressed, particularly with depression, and marital problems, again stemming from Anthony. She is very loving and caring.

Marcus: Anthony’s drug dealer, a terrible person. He practically forced Anthony to take drugs for the first time, and acts as the physical manifestation of Anthony’s demons, but he is more than just symbolic. Prepare an evil monologue.

Nurse: Only shows up in one scene, very few lines, just a cold reading for this one is fine. Do what you want with the character.
