03-25-11 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT –

A Newton private school is looking for a pianist with the abilitiy to acompany an elementary school production of a junior boradway show. Must be available on Tuesdays until May 23rd from 3:15-6:00 as well as some Sunday morning availability in early May for rehearsals. Performances will be on May 24th at 5:00 p.m. and May 26th at 1:30 p.m. – must be available for both.

Must be able to read an orchestral reduction piano score; be able to transpose parts as needed for vocalists; improvisation skills a plus as you will need to fill in between scene changes.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids; is reliable and flexible with the music itself. This is a great job for a graduate student who loves accompanying musical theatre or for a music educator in training with great piano skills.

Excellent compensation for the right person.

We are not accessible by public transportation, but pickup from the Riverside Green line stop at Newton Highlands is a possibility.
