03-20-12 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – Newly formed and as-yet-unnamed band seeks a vocalist. Bands we like are Black Math Horseman, Acid King, Russian Circles, Kylesa, Disappearer, Keelhaul, Melvins, Elks, Earthless, US Christmas, Helms Alee, and many many more. We are guitar, bass and drums – all of us are in our mid-30′s, we have a sweet practice space and we play twice a week. We have pro gear and are loud as fuck; we have an OK PA, but it would probably be best if you had a better one or at least a power amp we could add onto it. — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1

02-03-12 – Boston, MA>Portland, ME – We are seeking a versatile bassist that can harmonize and provide backing vocals.
We are a Rhythm Guitarist/Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, and Drummer who unfortunately lost our bassist.
We are all drug and drama free, non-smokers, have families, have careers, etc. . . We started playing together about 5 months ago and have about 35 songs that we are working on.
The genre is mainly a mix of Alternative Rock, Funk and Reggae, we are trying to keep the music that we play upbeat and energetic.
We are working toward playing gigs and we were very close to that point. The plan was to start up as a cover band for a quick start and begin working on originals to mix in. We have also discussed raising the rehearsal rate to be ready for this season. Read on and if you have an interest in our project lets talk.
We have been rehearsing at my house Tuesdays at 6:30 till around 9, which we can readdress for the right person if needed, in Manchester off Mammoth Road on the Manchester/Hooksett line. I need to be very picky as to whom I will let in my family’s home, or even who I will associate with. I really feel that if your band mates are not someone you would want as a friend, then why bother? You spend far too much time together and need to mesh and be on the same wavelength.
We have a large “jamroom” about 500 sq ft with equipment, 20 channel mackie mixer, 1200 watts per channel crown power amp into the mains, powered mixers, yamaha monitor speakers, bass amp and cab, mics, cables, stands, some lighting effects and controllers, recording equipment etc . . . and can play as loud and as long as we like.
Here is the current list of songs we are working on. If this looks like something you might be interested in please contact us and we’ll set up a time to meet and play a few songs.

Bill Withers — Use Me
Bob Marley — Get Up Stand Up
Bob Marley — Stir it Up

12-23-10 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – Hello, this is my first post on craigslist and I’d like to introduce myself, what I do, what I’m looking for. Firstly, about me: I’m a boomer-aged guy with a professional sounding recording studio (studio named Sonic Sojourns) here in Ashland. I play guitar, bass, sing, write some songs etc., and have decided it’s time to expand out into the music scene here in the valley more then I have. Everything you’d need to know about my studio can be learned by going to johnswinnerton.com where I explain my gear, my system, and philosophy of recording plus you can hear a variety of tracks I’ve recorded.
Secondly, I’d like to start my own recording project, so I’m looking for a drummer (to start with) and take a few of my songs and bring them to life, in the blues, R+R, funk and rockabilly vein. If interested contact me through my site.
Thirdly, I have too much gear so I’m putting a PA system up for sale. Basically, I’m getting out of live sound and staying in the studio. What I’ve got is:
1. A pair of JBL Sound Factor SP-15 speaker cabs. A 15″ speaker and a horn in each. 250 watts continuous-peaking up to a thousand. Great tone in the midrange.
2. A pair of OnStage speaker stands.
3. A pair of 100′ 12 gauge LiveWire speaker cables.
4. A ProCo 8-xlr, 4 trs snake. 100 ft.
5. A Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro 14 channel mixer.
6. A USA900 QSC Power Amp, (450 a side), and a DBX 215 graphic eq, both mounted in a SKB rack case. — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
