03-07-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – My guitarist and I (bass) are starting a hard rock band a bit on the progressive side and are currently looking for a talented vocalist who can not only scream well, but most importantly, sing well! A perfect example of someone with these traits would be Maynard from Tool, not to say we are looking for someone exactly like him but along those traits vocally. Some of our main influences are System of a Down, Tool, and Mastodon to name a few. If you like that type of music then you will probably like our music because its along those styles.
We only want someone who is very dedicated, someone who is NOT currently in a band, and someone that wants to take the music as far as we possibly can. Please only respond if you are between the ages of 21-28. We are very passionate about the music and are confident that once we get everything together that we can definitely go far with this band.
We live in Los Angeles so we prefer someone who lives in Eagle Rock, Highland Park ,Glendale , Pasadena , Burbank , Hollywood , or somewhere around the Los Angeles area. My guitarist and I already have some songs done on guitar and bass and are very anxious to continue the writing process and continue to make music. So if anyone is interested, please send me a message and we can talk things over. Please do — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1

03-06-12 – Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA – My bassist and I (guitar) are starting a hard rock band a bit on the progressive side and are currently looking for a talented drummer. We are looking for someone with a great understanding of rhythm, as our music incorporates some odd timings. Also, a diverse drum set (something more than a standard 5 piece) with double bass is preferred, since our music is progressive. Some drummers that are along the lines of what we are looking for are: John of System of a Down, Danny of Tool, and Brann of Mastodon to name a few. If you like that type of music, then you will like what we have to offer because it’s along those styles. We only want someone who is very dedicated, someone who is NOT currently in a band, and someone that wants to take the music as far as we possibly can. 09-22-11 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – Hello, we are setting up auditions for the position of keyboardist for our “existing” band. We had a great player, and he was a great friend…., but he’s dealing with some health problems right now, and “maybe” forever, we just don’t know. But we have gigs, and we have things that we want to accomplish !
We are a 5 piece band with a genuine Front Man. We are starting to write originals ( 2 of us have our own recording studios ), and we are doing good paying gigs, as a cover band, for the $$$$$$’s : )
We are all in other bands as well, our singer has his own band, our guitar player has 4 bands that he gigs with, etc…, so we are Professional, GREAT gear, 4 of us have our own PA system. 4 of us are Drummers, 2 of us are lead guitar players, 3 of us are keyboard players, etc…., Our singer just came in 2nd place in the “Portland Idol” competition.
The covers that we do are more on the Progressive side of Classic rock, Boston, Journey, Kansas, Toto, Styxx, Deep Purple, Some older stuff, some newer stuff, like Jeff Beck’s version of Stratus, from his DVD “live at Ronnie Scott’s”. Our keyboardist was really great at capturing the correct patch, and doing the parts “authentically” ! We really strive to the songs “like” the original recording, out of respect, and because then it’s more of an accomplishment !
We are a great bunch of guys, all very close, very good friends ! We hate to see our guy go, but maybe someday he’ll be back. We are giging now, with fill in Keyboardist’s, and we went into our guitar players studio and recorded all of the Keyboard tracks, so sometimes we just play to a click track and do the gig that way ( uhg ).
Let me know if you are capable, and interested. If you are on any websites, or music sites, let me know about those as well. We have a website that I can turn you onto so that you can check us out also. In 2 weeks we have a gig at the Alladin Theater, we have a guest keyboardist for that gig.
Thanks : )

09-18-11 – Phoenix, AZ>Las Vegas, NV – First of all this will not be a metal, straightedge, grindcore, or emo band. Even though I am a fan of metal music. This will be a punk band mostly. Thrash means “speed and agression”, punk means “punk rock”. Most people use the term “hardcore”, which has been misused for the past 20+ years. Very fast, ear spliting punk I guess. Anyways, Looking for drummer to start thrash punk band, must be very fast and tight on drums, have your own set and transport. Age should be at least in your mid to late 20′s because I am in my early 30′s, but don’t look it or act like it. So, if age is a problem don’t waste my time. If you have a dinky little one tom drum set don’t email me either. I have been playing guitar for 22+ years as well as drums on and off for about 20. I don’t have an ego, but am very particular(anal) about the sound and style of this. I already have around 30 or more songs written, not finished with the words to all of them yet. Already have a name for the band as well. Some of the songs are a bit on the progressive side also, not alot of three chord crap here. This is a serious hobby for me, which includes practice, playing shows and recording, so no flakes please. No drama either. I am NOT a racist, homophobic, sexist, ageist, a commie, or an officer of the word police. I do on occasion commit thought crimes though. I am NOT a hippie facist vegan type either, I do eat meat and sometimes say, “that’s gay”. Influenced by D.R.I., early Bad Brains, the Freeze, Adrenalin O.D., RKL, Iron Maiden, Septic Death, Heresy, DEVO, Husker Du, Malignus Youth, early C.O.C., Gang Green, the F.U.’s, early Screeching Weasel, Jerry’s Kids, Misfits and a zillion others. Trying to do something a little different then what is being done mostly right now and with some style, very cool and fun. I have babbled enough. Email me if this is what you are looking for.

01-08-11 – Nashville, TN>Louisville, KY – METAL BASSIST WANTED for established Nashville-based metal band, Oblivion Myth
What we have to offer: a place in a great family of metal musicians, opportunities to write and record, and the chance to perform all around Tennessee and beyond. Our first album, “Between Light and Shadow,” contains eight songs and was released in July 2008. After 36 shows, we are currently recording our second album “Into The Valley of Unrest.” We will have eleven songs on our second album and have several songs already being prepared for our third album.
What we are looking for: we need someone who will be a part of our family and be an actual “bassist”. By our definition, this is a bass player that sounds like a bass player and knows how to play with a drummer, not some dude playing rhythm guitar on bass (unless your name is Lemmy, then we’ll talk!). As for the progressive side of your playing, if you were asked to do a bass solo, would the audience go get a beer, take a piss, or would they be enamored by your ability? If you can drop people’s jaws, we want to meet you! Of course, you will need to be reliable, committed, practice on your own, own your own professional equipment, and join the band for a 5+ hour rehearsal EVERY SATURDAY.
