02-08-11 – Phoenix, AZ>Las Vegas, NV – We are looking for someone who plays strong Lead/Rhythm guitar to complete our lineup of bass, drums, and a singer who plays some acoustic guitar. This is a cover band that plays anything that will get the crowd up and dancing to rock that people enjoy listening to as well. You will be handling all the guitar responsibilities and you must be able to do light backup vocals as well. Must be able to learn quickly as we already have a setlist that is almost complete and we don’t want to waste time during practice so doing your homework is a must. We are in our 30′s to early 40′s and all have day jobs and do not want to gig every weekend but want to shoot for once or twice a month so we hope that your not counting on making this a job. We like to have fun and are pretty laid back but at the same time we want to be able to knockout most of the setlist during a practice with little or no errors. Practice is on Thursday nights for at least a couple hours, sometimes it runs a little longer. Some of the stuff we play is by Tom Petty, REM, Bryan Adams, Eddie Money, Green Day, Oasis, STP, Sublime, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Idol, Lit, Puddle of Mudd, Seven Mary Three, 3 Doors Down, etc…. you get the picture. So if your interested and this sounds like your cup of tea hit us up I’ll send you the setlist and hopefully you can come down this Thursday and let us hear what you can do. Rock Garden is looking for a bass player. The band just won the McCool’s Cover Band Challenge and has paying gigs lined-up. We practice on Fridays at 6:00PM between the drummer’s house in Casa Grande and my house (guitarist) in Queen Creek. If you are leery about all the driving, let me tell you, this band is worth it. We practice as we would play live – loud. We practice as long as we need/want to. You’ll find a lot of talent and experience in this band. We all do our homework and come to practice ready to play and work out the kinks and details to really polish our sound. We’re not about perfection or playing the songs just like artists do, our edge is playing the songs with a raw – “in your face” – attitude, but at the same time, we strive to do justice to the songs we play. We all have lives and jobs outside of the band, so we’re not looking to make a living off of this…yet (HA HA!).

With all that being said, we are looking for a bass player who can ramp-up on our song list quickly. We’re not looking to change this song list, these are the songs we have rehearsed as a band, these are the songs we need you to learn. Here’s our current song list:
