06-16-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – Drummer wanted for fusion group (Rock/Hip-Hop/Reggae/Jazz) called Rhythmic Root (soundcloud.com – “Rhythmic Root”. Should be about 8 tracks or so). And for the record, these recordings are rough, and do not justify how we sound live lol. Anywho, unfortunately, our previous drummer had to throw in the towel for personal reasons, and we’d like to find someone who has similar attributes (positive attitude, no serious drug problems, VERSATILE, tight in the pocket, reliable, and most important, pleasant to be around). We consist of 1 guitar, bass, 2 rappers, and a singer. We all have jobs, we only practice together twice a week on Sunday night and Tuesday night, but we do take this project seriously (but not TOO seriously). We have a large rehearsal space at Godlike Studios (Not the greatest place, I know, but our room in nice and spacey). We record/mix all of our own stuff, and as of now, we gig only occasionally. 01-24-11 – St Louis, MO>Chicago, IL – Screaming Coyotes seeks Rhythm Guitarist

Rhythmic guitarist wanted. Vocals a plus but not needed. Creativity a must.

Band name = Screaming Coyotes
Our style = Fusion Rock Flute-tronica
Both originals and covers.
Influences = Hendrix, Traffic, Santana, Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Cream, Grateful Dead, Marshall Tucker Band, Phish

We are a unique group looking for a tasteful rhythm player who can add to our sound in a creative way without being overbearing and changing it too much. I think the ideal person would do be able to do strumming and some picking and some riffs. You could even take a few solos if you want but this is primarily a rhythm guitar position. You will be able to use your creativity in creating your own parts for our songs.

We are definitely willing to learn your songs and play some of your originals if you have written some that would fit our style …
BUT WE DON”T WANT TO BECOME YOUR BACKUP BAND.
Unfortunately, we have found that is what most rhythm players want from us.

We currently consist of 4 people:
Electric guitar synthesizer
Flute through an effects pedal
Electric Bass
Drums
vocals = 3 Male and 1 Female

We practice once a week, play occasional gigs around VT, MA, and NH and we hope to play some music FESTIVALS this summer. We played a few last year and had a blast!
We have dreams of taking it further and trying to get bigger gigs down the road. However, we aren’t quitting our day jobs yet.

We are a fun laid-back group of friendly people who love playing music and we are looking for the same in you. We like to have a few beers during practice and don’t mind occasionally jamming out for 12 minutes but we also know how to have a productive rehearsal where we focus on tightening up our songs.
