01-28-12 – Boston, MA>Hartford, CT – PLEASE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE POSTING CAREFULLY:
Lead/rythym guitar needed for established acoustic rock cover band. Band covers rock (and pop) of all genres form 60′s to Now. We cover well known faves as well as songs that are more obscure. May consider doing some original material at some future point, but mainly covers now. We currently have a guitarist, 2 lead male vocalists, drums, PA, keyboards. Looking to perform mainly with acoustic and once in a while, electric. We have a rehearsal space in Taunton, are dedicated and have gigged out. Looking for someone who is available to practice at least once a week (Saturdays mainly, occasional Sundays-possibly an occasional Fri night).
We are looking for someone is open to playing all styles of rock, but especially open to and enthusiastic to 80′s (new wave/pop/rock), 90′s alternative rock, and today’s rock (Killers, Death Cab, Grouplove, etc).
We are NOT looking to become just another classic rock cover bad. If that’s all of your experience and you do not have experience or at least enthusiasm for learning and playing more contemporary rock, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS AD!
Also, do not respond if you are not into doing covers.
When we gig out it is usually in SE MASS and RI, but there could be gigs near Boston. Typically gig out twice a month on Saturdays. Might be an occasional Friday night or Sunday gig. Serious inquiries only. A good attitude and enthusiasm is A MUST. Need someone who has played out in the past few years and if you have sound experience, that’s a plus. Vocals are great too, but not necessary. Ideal age range would be late 20′s to 40′s.
Currently auditioning at our space in Taunton. You must audition on an acoustic guitar. Our guitar player also has an ad on here which is quite vague about what we are looking for, and just lists his name and cell number. Some people have contacted both of us which has resulted in some confusion. To save yourself time and any confusion, his name is Rich. If you email or call him with interest, you must also and i — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1

11-28-11 – Portland, OR>Seattle, WA – I’m looking for a drummer that thinks every song should be a drum solo. I’m looking for a bassist that thinks the bass should be the lead instrument.
I’m a 29 year old singer, guitarist and songwriter with an album’s worth of original material. The style is modern progressive with classic rock and pop influences, and leans strongly towards the heavier end of the spectrum.
Listen to these to decide if you’re interested, and there’s a lot more where this came from:
These are both self-produced and the drums/bass are synthesized. I’d like to get a band together with skillful musicians to finish recording these songs, produce an album, and promote it live. I’m seeking musicians who will be collaborators, not just players. Even though the songs are already written, there are lot of opportunities for creativity with the notes and fills. I like musicians who love to play. I’d like to write new music with you as well. Live shows will ideally showcase the originals, but with a smattering of covers.
I do not have a practice space. If you have one, great, if not we’ll look at going in on a rental or finding a friend’s place to use.
Finally, I want to put some serious effort into practice and promotion. If you contact me, please have the free time available to practice the songs on your own, meet with the band at least once a week, and play shows when we book them. I’ll be looking to avoid low turn-out gigs and poor — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
