04-18-11 – Miami, FL>Orlando, FL – Rock band looking for highly skilled drummer to join our band. We do ALL originals and have regular gigs at Respectables (WPB), Propaganda (LW), Dada (Delray), and Swampgrass Willy’s (PBG), and play some random gigs at places from Jupiter to Miami. Gigs are usually between 10pm-2am, we usually play a 45-60 minute set with 1-2 other bands.
We currently have two guitars, a bass, and lead singer (the band ranges in age from 25-37).. We take it very seriously, but have a lot of fun doing it. (If you can sing background too, that’s a big plus!). It’s high energy rock music with a slight surf rock feel. A lot of tempo changes from song to song add a wide range of diversity in our songs. Inspired by, but sound nothing like Pearl Jam, Black Crows, Led Zeppelin, The Shins, Nada Surf, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Talking Heads, Rogue Wave, Black Keys, and Grandaddy. We practice in Lake Worth two times a week, mandatory Thursdays 6-9:30pm (and often on tues or sunday). We are looking for serious people who can commit to these practices and regular gigs (2-3, but sometimes up to 4 gigs a month). Do not inquire if you are in, or ever plan on being in multiple bands please. We have a great rehearsal space in a house downtown Lake Worth with drums set up.
We have recorded a 4 song EP, and have plans to record more very soon. All funds raised from gigs are collected for recording and gear.
