12-08-11 – San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV – Putting together a new lineup of my live band… I’m looking for musicians with eclectic taste, who can appreciate anything from repetitive minimalist stuff like Suicide, Neu, Velvet Underground, to syncopated tighter things like Prince, Kano, Cameo, plus the stuff in between that spectrum — Peter Gabriel, Roxy Music, Scary Monsters era Bowie, Iggy Pop, Cure, Can, Talking Heads, 80s Stones, weird pop stuff, soft rock, spaced out disco, art rock, etc, etc.
As far as drummers go, my ideal right now would be a fairly tight and minimal player, a la Dennis Davis, Jaki Liebezeit, Klaus Dinger, Mick Fleetwood, Charlie Watts, Lol Tolhurst — someone musically competent, but capable of restraint. — Submit Yourself To This Role Now: 1
