Synopsis: Godspell was conceived and originally directed by John Michael Tebelak, and offers music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. One of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time, Godspell is based primarily on the Gospel According to St. Matthew. As the cast of actors makes its way through “Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord,” “Save The People,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” “Bless the Lord,” “All For The Best,” “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back, O Man” and “By My Side,” audience members get to see the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life. The show also touchingly presents the story of Jesus’ last moments beginning with the Last Supper.
The main story of Godspell is portrayed in the show’s subtext–in the way the players interact with their leader, coming together to create a loving community by sharing stories about living good lives and singing about love, joy, gratitude, judgment and redemption, the group of disparate individuals band together with a common purpose to face challenges and obstacles as they are tested along the way.

Audition Requirements: Please bring clothing and shoes suitable for movement. Be prepared to sing a song, and bring your music (there will also be music available on site for those that do not have their own). There will be a pianist available at auditions, and all songs must be sung with piano accompaniment. This posting is in reference to seeking musicians for a cover band.
I have been singing rock n roll since I was 3 years old.

My stage presence goes unmatched. I am a great band leader, lead vocalist/frontman and can play guitar and keys considerably well. I have been in and out of original and cover bands since I can remember. For every local show I’ve played in LA, I had a draw of (at the very least) 10 people.

Priority, I am looking for a bass player and a drummer who have a draw of at least 10 people each. I don’t care how good a musician you think you are or how old you are, if you’ve toured the world or how expensive your clothes are- if you can not bring people you will not make money in LA.

My perspective bandmates should be able to come to rehearsal with the selected songs learned and ready to play, be able to sing some background vocals and should have a minimum draw of 10 paid people per show. The right people will be dedicated, honest and willing to work hard (take on various marketing and promoting duties) and play anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

I am not looking for musicians who have the words “No” in their vocabulary.

Again I am seeking: drummers and bass players for an established cover band project in Los Angeles. Rehearsing at least for 2 hours on a weekly basis at Amp Studios in North Hollywood until 30 songs from the master list of cover tunes are ready to be showcased. After that I would only like to spend the money on rehearsal when necessary or working up new material. I do expect us to share the cost of rehearsal in a small room. Of course we will be sharing the money we will make performing equally as well.
The master list includes songs from, but not limited to: Foo Fighters, STP, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Sponge, Weezer, Metallica, Sound Garden, Presidents of the USA, Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Goo Goo Dolls, Garbage, No Doubt, Social D, Collective Soul, Silverchair, Bush, Sublime, Third Eye Blind, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Tool, Faith No More, Alice n Chains, Offspring, Rage Against the Machine and of course open to suggestions
