Lorena, a 25-year old fashion business owner is not close to her family and does not care for a love life. She is consumed in her work, but is losing inspiration and passion fast. After her African American mother and Mexican father pass away, she finds out that she was conceived through rape, and that her father is not her real father. He leaves her his family information, the only family that she and her siblings have left and have never known because of unsettled differences with the family and their father. With her 17-year old brother and her 10-year old sister, they set out for Mexico to find the family. On the way, an Argentinian man takes an interest to her and seeks to break her shell.
