Our “World Rock” sound can be described as an upbeat rock band with worldly elements – brazilian, middle eastern and surf flavor.
Bands we love: Sigur Ros, Muse, Radiohead, Black Keys. . . add a little Ennio Morricone and you get a taste of what we go for.
Ambience has had a great run over the past few years. Radio exposure, west coast tours, festivals, and a wonderful Bay Area fan base have kept us going.

We are not a busy band, due to members having other band projects. My goal for Roads is to go as far as God wants us to go. 08-11-11 – Nashville, TN>Louisville, KY – I’m looking to put together a post rock group with influences like Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Russian Circles, and Sigur Ros. I want the group to be pretty musically serious, even if the gigs aren’t very regular. I want to focus on writing original material, although we will probably work on a few covers to begin with just to get everyone comfortable with their parts.
The positions:

Keys – The biggest thing here is getting someone with access to a keyboard capable of more soundscape-y patches and effects. The keyboard will be a central part of the band, but again, I don’t need someone with a lot of technical skill, just someone who can be creative and has the tools to do so.

08-05-11 – Nashville, TN>Louisville, KY – I have been doing a lot of writing for an upcoming recording project that I hope will take off. I just need a talented singer! My goal is to produce some awesome music with influences like U2, Muse, Paramore, The Killers, Sigur Ros, etc. Following the release of this music, ideally, we would piece together a band for performing the material. Thematically, the songs will be about ambition, pursuing dreams, lost love, and a little bit of God.
