Plenty a chance to solo per song but in-pocket, textural style needed and preferred. The Groove is King! Great ear, great feel, good player with great attitude a necessity. To help indicate style the following terms could apply: Acid Jazz, Trip-Hop, Ambient and/or Downtempo. I am interested in eventually forming a band, but am not rushing it because I want the relationships to take priority. Not that the musicianship doesn’t need to be excellent. 03-02-12 – Detroit, MI>Cleveland, OH – The Smiths United, a Smiths/Morrissey tribute band are seeking young, skilled, classically trained string players, preferably a cellist and violinist or two for our performance on Sat April 28, 2012 at the Magic Bag Theatre in Ferndale, MI. We will be preforming the Smith’s LP Strangeways, Here we Come in its entirety in honor of it’s 25th anniversary. At least three to four pieces have strings including Girlfriend in A Coma, Last Night I Dreamed, others.
