12-23-11 – Phoenix, AZ>El Paso, TX – Me and my rhythm guitarist and bassist are currently on the search for a drummer and lead guitarist for our shoegazing band. For those of you unfamiliar with the subgenre, it does involve a lot of effects pedal experimentation, so willingness to do so is a must. We would prefer female members, but we are willing to give guys a shot as well.
About us: I am the vocalist. I don’t do anything else, but I am classically trained and all about using technique so I make sure my instrument is played correctly. Eli is the rhythm guitarist with a lot of promising riffs he’s got planned out. Nick is the bassist (you might actually know him from local band 4 Against 1) and is incredibly talented at playing his instrument. We don’t have a definitive sound yet, seeing as how we’ve only had two real practices. We’ve all been caught up in college, so it’s been a week or two since we’ve practiced but are schedules are opening back up and we’re looking to start jamming again.

05-17-11 – Hartford, CT>New York City, NY – We are looking for a drummer. I play guitar. Classical, jazz, rockabilly, and lots of metal–anything. I’m having trouble finding talent around here. I need a drummer, but if you play something else and just want to make music that’s great. Studied music comp and theory for undergrad, have played guitar and other instruments. I have a very nice, roomy, well furnished practice space. I would like to make loud music that combines aspects of doom, thrash, freak folk, d&b, jazz, and I don’t know what you call all that subgenre stuff now. Experimental, well-crafted, original. If you are a skilled musician, let’s just get something going. I just moved from the city and I’m losing my mind.
