03-19-12 – Albany, NY>New York City, NY – I am a percussionist and composer looking for players in the catskills who could rehearse and play gigs around Liberty, Livingston Manor, Montecello and the surrounding areas as well as Phonecia, Kingtson and Woodstock. I play trapset, keyboards all percussion and tablas with a focus on africa, brazil and india. The group will focus on world music with an emphasis on jazz. Influences include Shakti, John Mclaughlin, Airto, Sunny Ade, Afro Beat, Indian Classical. Guitar, flute or horns, bass and keys all are welcome. I already have an excellent 2nd percussion player. Being able to play in 5/4 6/4 7/4 and read are helpful…..
