01-19-12 – New York City, NY>Philadelphia, PA – Synopsis:
Queens is a half-hour musical dramedy about a family of drag queens in New York City’s Queens borough. The central setting is a fictitious drag bar in Woodside called “Damas y Caballeros” (“Ladies and Gentlemen”), or DyCs (pronounced “Dick’s”) for short. Each week, viewers not only see the queens’ backstage banter and campy performances but also dramatically compelling personal stories that ground this larger-than-life ensemble. This thesis production will serve as the pilot.
Requirements:
The dates are not yet locked down, so as of now you must be available between Friday, January 27 through Sunday, February 26. There will be day and night shoots. Work is non-union.
