Some friends and I are putting together a tribute band for The Who to start booking and do some bigger shows to make a ridiculous amount of money while playing some awesome ass music. We have the musicians with the looks and chops to play the songs themselves. We need a singer capable of covering Roger Daltry’s spot in the band. We played at Bottletree last night, and it went over well, so we’re going to pursue it more and see what else we can do about it. Most people don’t know how difficult Lynyrd Skynyrd is to play. The position will most definitely require some serious woodsheddin’, but remember, you would only have to learn about 30 songs and that would be it. So what we are looking for is the following:
1) Someone who really loves Lynyrd Skynyrd and their music like we do.
2) Someone who can play the drum parts like they sound on the album/cd.
3) Someone who is honestly willing to woodshed hard to learn the material.
4) Someone who will show up to rehearsals every week.

Just a little background me and 4 of the members have been together since high school and two of them are brothers. My little brother was the drummer but we have always had problems with him so hes doing his own thing. We won over 8 competitions and are undefeated in any battle of the bands. We have had opportunities to open up for Disturb, Trivium, Original Guns and Roses tribute band, Senses Fail, Paul Dianno original singer from Iron Maiden. We have tons of very complex songs ranging from an AC/DC style, Iron Maiden style and Mega Death style. 03-09-12 – Atlanta, GA>Birmingham, AL – Experienced, older “Ringo-styled” drummer, favorite group is the Beatles, looking for like-minded local musicians to form band focusing mainly (but not limited to) Beatles songs. Other music would include general classic rock (Stones, Byrds, Ventures, ARS, etc) and add in some blues to round out a nice mix. Not looking to form a Beatles-only tribute band, but I want to form a talented group of musicians, male and/or female, who would be dedicated to, and stick with, such a project, no playing games, I’ve been down this road several times. I do already have connections for possible gigs. Needed are lead / rhythm guitars, keyboards, bass, and of course, good vocals. Personally, I cant sing a lick but I’m pretty good on drums.
