Our intentions is to enter the finished film into several film festivals, draw attention then use our festival success to secure financing for a feature version of the film. I would like to start out very simply working with a percussionist of some sort, electronic or otherwise.

I would play the bass and we would focus on developing an improvisatory rapport.

If it seems necessary, we could also design a methodology for the generation of discrete musical events of variable repeatability, “songs”. But it should eventually sound like a slicker version of a drum circle.

Later, I would like to incorporate interactive computer elements to amplify and expound upon our spontaneously generated metrical ideas.

I have spent several years working with Pure Data in this regard. Imagine something like a very complex, dynamic delay pedal.
Toward that end, people specializing in synthy, Eno-esque treatments are most welcome, as will be video artists/animators working with interactive digital technologies.
I would like to emphasize that the DANCE element will be of utmost importance.

Ideally, we would create with our performances an atmosphere of possibility for the audience to explore movement or even vocalization. Sweat-inducing, altered-state stuff.
Here are some things I’m interested in off the top of my head:
* Polyrhythms and metrical modulations
* Minimalism / Maximalism
* Generative computer music
* Free/Spiritual Jazz
* John Cage
* Neue Sachlichkeit
* Non-idiomatic spontaneous improvisation

First off. Go watch Hitchcock’s PSYCHO. The basic plotline is exactly the same. Our version, however, changes the dialogue and situations to create a parody of the original version, plus we add musical numbers and dance numbers to spice it up.

Marion wants to marry Sam, but he’s so poor that he doesn’t think it would be a good thing for her. When a wealthy businessman comes into her boss’ office and trusts her to take an extremely large sum of money to the bank, she decides to steal it instead and run off to be with her beau. Avoiding police and suspicion on the way, she trades out her car and ends up getting lost. Luckily, the Bates motel is right there to give her a night of rest and reorientation. However, the owner, Norman, turns out to be homicidal maniac and kills Marion that night.
